Turmeric for skin?—since ages turmeric has been an integral part of Indian wedding rituals. Not only turmeric symbolizes healthy married life, also ensures radiant and glowing skin for the wedding day. Thus you can ditch your expensive cosmetics and use a simple homemade turmeric body mask. Just mix 1 tablespoon gram flour, 2 table spoon of curd, ½ teaspoon of turmeric, and half tea spoon of honey together. Apply it on your face and let it say for about 15 minutes then wash it off.  The same paste can be applied on the whole body as well. Turmeric with is anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties heals the skin and gives out a natural glow. If you are suffering from acne apply the same on the infected parts.

- Turmeric for hair loss- Suffering from premature hair loss, or maybe dandruff is bothering you, don’t worry turmeric comes to your rescue. Turmeric has curcumin, an active ingredient present in turmeric prevents hair loss by strengthening the hair follicles. All you need to do is mix ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder and 2 tablespoon of coconut oil, and massage the roots of your hair, keep it for approx. 20 minutes then wash it off using room temperature water. Do this just once a week and you will see a visible difference in just one month. Not only it will prevent hair loss but you will get shiny and silky hair.
- Turmeric for teeth and gums—if those sulphate tooth paste are taking away your bright smile and strength of your gums away then try the below method. One of our personal favorite, we have tried it numerous times and never ceases to amaze us. Make a paste with a pinch of turmeric, pinch of rock salt, and one teaspoon of mustard oil, dip ypur brush and brush normally, you can apply the same on your fingers and massage your gums to make them stronger. Do this 3 times a week and you’d be surprised to see how much difference it makes. Even if you are suffering from bad breath this is the solution
3.Turmeric for wounds—I remember whenever my mother used to get a cut or get burnt while cooking she would apply turmeric paste on it and the blood would immediately stop. Naturally having anti-septic, anti-viral, anti-bacterial properties, Indian women always know how to extract the best out of this medicinal herb. God forbid if you ever get a cut or wound, ditch the antiseptic cream and apply a paste of turmeric and water over it. It just works like magic.
4.Turmeric for throat- In winters one of the most dreaded thing to have is a sore throat. This time around do not spend 100s of rupees on betadine, and use turmeric instead. In one glass of hot water mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric and ½ teaspoon of rock salt and gargle with the solution. Once in the morning, and once before sleeping at night. Turmeric is so effective for throat infections that it can cure itchy throat in just a few days.
